The late, great CineVegas Film Festival was quite simply the best thing that ever happened. Its mix of cutting-edge film and insane Las Vegas extravagance started freindships, ended marriages, and birthed a legend that will never die.

After a lifetime of preparation (as grim as it sounds), I was on Jeopardy! for the past two days. Sometime in the future I’ll write a more detailed description of my adventure, but sufficed to say that I came, I saw, I conquered, and then I got my ass whipped. But please don’t worry about me. I go home with my pride, a nice chunk o’ change, and the knowledge that the words “film festival programmer” were spoken on syndicated television.
